One of the core materials in our protective clothing is silver-infused shielding fabric. In the past few years the price of silver has climbed dramatically. As of early 2026, spot silver has reached near record levels of around $90+ per ounce, following a strong rally that continued through 2025 and into this year. Compared with early 2021, when silver was trading around $23–$25 per ounce, this represents an increase of roughly over 250% over five years — a level of growth that reflects strong demand, tightening supply, and heightened investor interest in precious metals.
Such a jump in silver costs might tempt others to either hike prices or slash quality. Instead, we at SHIELD keep doing what we promised: offer real protection without compromise.
