DOES THE SIGNALPROOF APPAREL BLOCK THE 5G NETWORK?
The answer is: YES, it does.Ā
5G, or the fifth generation of mobile networks, operates across a range of low and high frequencies, including 700 MHz and 3500 MHz. It primarily uses the 700 MHz band, which was previously reserved for terrestrial TV. This frequency travels long distances and was originally broadcast at very low intensity. Today, itās being deployed directly in cities, significantly increasing its strength. Because of its excellent penetration through buildings, 700 MHz is one of the most effective and widely used frequencies for 5G.
The second phase of the 5G rollout, expected around 2025, will introduce much higher frequenciesāranging from 20,000 to 30,000 MHz (20ā30 GHz). Shielding fabrics are designed to block even these extremely high frequencies, though official testing at those ranges has not yet been completed.
Most tests of shielding materials are conducted up to 40 GHz, since that covers the highest commercially used frequencies in everyday life, including WiFi at 5.8 GHz.

WHY IS THE SIGNALPROOF HAT MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE REGULAR HAT?
The answer is: Because of the specialĀ shielding silver fabric inside the hat.Ā
Every Signalproof hat is made of two layers: an outer layer and an inner layer. The inner layer always contains this special shielding fabric, which is made of pure silver. Silver ensures top-level performance and also provides additional benefitsāit's antibacterial, antimicrobial, anti-odor, and antistatic.
While there are cheaper alternatives like copper or steel, they donāt last as long, lack these extra properties, and can sometimes cause allergic reactions. And after allāsilver is silver.

WHY IS MY CELL PHONE RINGING INSIDE THE HAT?Ā
The answer is: The signal in your surroundings is likely stronger than what the hat can fully block.
A signal-blocking hat isn't magicāit's pure physics. The special shielding fabric used can only block a certain spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. Typically, the shielding effectiveness is up to approximately 80 dB. If the surrounding signal is stronger than this (which is quite common), your cell phone may still ring, even when it's inside the hat. However, the received signal will be significantly reduced.
Think of it like other protective materialsāwaterproof, windproof, bulletproof. If you shoot a bulletproof vest with a machine gun, it may fail. If you wear a waterproof jacket in a torrential downpour, it may eventually let water in. If you wear windproof pants in a hurricane, they might not fully hold up. But in each case, you're still better protected than without them.
Signal-blocking gear doesnāt offer absolute protectionābut it still provides meaningful benefits.

CAN I MEASURE THE SIGNALPROOF EFFICIENCY WITH A CELL PHONE?
The answer is: Barely.
Dots or ticks on the signal indicator are not accurate, and each phone model reacts differently. It also takes a while for the phone to register that it's losing the signal. Another issue is that you can't observe the phoneās reaction while it's inside the apparel. If you put it in and then pull it out, you won't see the true status of the signal indicator. You would need to be inside the apparel with your phone, similar to testing a waterproof bag underwaterāyou canāt open the bag underwater to check if itās dry.
Additionally, signal strength varies depending on your location. If youāre very close to the emitter or antenna, the signal indicator might not drop. The apparel doesnāt completely eliminate signals, but it reduces them to a minimum, having almost no effect on you. The only reliable way to test the apparel is with certified measuring instruments or EMF consultants. Weāve done this, as you can see in the video here, or you can test it yourself at these locations. The signal strength inside the apparel is hundreds of times lower than outside.

IS THERE ANY EVIDENCE THAT SIGNALS ARE HARMFUL?
The answer is: No, there's no evidence.
We are not saying that it's proven or that we should be scared. The truth is that there is no official evidence that signals cause harm. However, there are many studies and plenty of documentaries that deal with this topic. And as they say, where there's smoke, there's fire. If you want to learn more about this issue, here is a list of studies.

DOES THE APPAREL REALLY WORK?
The answer is: Yes.
Yes, it works because of the shielding silver fabric inside. It has a premium shielding effectiveness of 35dB - 80dB from 10 MHz to 40 GHz and beyond. This means that only 0.1% of high-frequency radiation can penetrate the shielding silver fabric. The shielding silver fabric is certified and tested.
Silver is also antibacterial, antimicrobial, anti-odor, and antistatic. Generally, our apparel can't completely protect your body against signals because your entire body would need to be covered from top to bottom. However, you can at least shield important parts.
DOES IT NEED TO BE GROUNDED?
The answer is: No.
A Faraday cage works without a ground connection when it comes to the hat. Signals are not amplified without an earth bond.

DOES IT INCREASE THE CHANCE OF LIGHTNING STRIKE?
The answer is: No.
No, it definitely doesn't.
DO SIGNALS COME THROUGH OTHER PARTS OF THE BODY?
If you are thinking about signals that come through other parts of the body, hit the inside of the reflective side of the apparel, then pass back through the body a second time or stay inside and multiply their power, you need to know that this is ridiculous. The signal is not a bullet, and the apparel/hat is not an amplifier. It's like asking, āWhy do I feel cold in my winter jacket? It was supposed to protect me against the cold, but it comes through my sleeves, top, and bottom parts.ā Nothing is one hundred percent effective, and everything depends on other factors. But in any case, you are not going to freeze in that winter jacket. The frequency of signals inside the apparel is very, very low and is also decreased by your skin, bones, and the water in your tissues.

HOW TO WASH IT? (Washing instructions)
To prevent the degradation of the silver fabric, we recommend handwashing and using organic detergents. If you decide to use a washing machine, make sure to wash it at the lowest available temperature.
